My file prints a portion of the way then stops or prints fragmented data.
When using a USB printer cable, the cable can not exceed the standard USB 6 foot length.
USB is a low power technology that does not travel well across long cables.
Problems can range from no connection, files that print a portion then stop, to fragmented print data.
The use of powered USB hubs that claim to extend the range do NOT work well and should not be used.
If you have a need to keep the printer far away from the computer Ethernet cabling is best. If the computer does not have an Ethernet connection then the use of an Ethernet Print Server adapter or hub is needed.
