ACC-0198 • USB printer not seen by setup Wizard

Enjoy easy and uncomplicated setup to USB with the latest version AccuRIP Black Pearl that auto detects and connects. UPGRADE to AccuRIP Black Pearl ($179).

 

AccuRIP Version 1.03 or earlier:
When installing AccuRIP the Setup Wizard did not automatically pickup my printer connected by USB.


Resolve:

When the Wizard does not see a printer it can be that the printer is not turned on, not connected directly to the computer, or it does not have a "proper" Epson Driver installed.

The most common connection is the USB (local) connection. As long as a proper Epson driver (from the Epson Website and not a CD or other media) is already installed, the printer is directly connected to the computer and turned on, the Wizard will see the printer.

With newer Windows operating systems such as Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 some users are installing the Epson driver using out of date driver installers (old). This creates a driver called ESC rather than the Properly named driver Epson Stylus Color followed by the Printer model. That is an issue.

Resolve:
Quit the Wizard, delete any previous Epson print drivers for the appropriate printer model, download the newest installer from the Epson website, install and build a proper print driver. Now launch AccuRIP and the Wizard will guide you through the setup.
