I have a head clog with one color, but when I use the Epson utility or control panel to run a head cleaning it uses a lot of ink and cleans all the heads (colors).
From the front control panel of the printer Epson gives you control to clean "groups" of heads which will save you ink when you know what head is clogged. You learn this by printing a standard nozzle check.
You can't clean just a single color but Epson does group them now so you focus on a smaller area (two heads).
Do a search on the internet for more documentation.
