ACC-0600 • AccuRIP Paused - File Not Printing

There are a few reasons why the Ripcore can Pause. Ripcore is the engine that delivers the data to the printer. If the printer is not ready, a bad connection cable, or wrong port assignment, or a firewall blocking the services then the Ripcore will Pause.

Anytime the RIP can not resolve a connection issue either port related, cable, or hardware the RIP will Pause and wait for the user to resolve the issue.

Check that the printer is ON and ready to print and there are No Error Messages or red ink lights flashing on the printer. Check the printer cable. Is it cable properly connected and configured? USB cables must not be longer than 6 feet and must be connected directly from printer to computer. No hubs or extensions.

Do this first:

1. Restart the printer and computer then print a test page from the RIP (file menu test print).

2. If that prints, open a NEW blank page in Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator, make a simple square and print that.

3. If that prints, try your file again. If it fails, the file has a postscript issue. Try moving the image to a NEW page and convert all fonts to outlines or curves.

Check your connections:

Black Pearl users go to Edit Configuration located both under the File menu and under the Quick Menu. As long as the Epson Printer is listed, in proper working order and selected, Black Pearl will complete the connection (USB, Ethernet, and WiFi).

Firewall software can create a problem, too. If the Firewall software does not give proper permissions to AccuRIP and the RIPCORE, there will be problems printing. For more info search keyword "Firewall" in the 24/7 Answer Center.

Older AccuRIP 1.03 and earlier version:

If using Ethernet IP verify using the EpsonNet Config utility the printer's IP address and make sure AccuRIP is set to that address. All inkjet printers print on port 9100 so leave that alone in AccuRIP. For more info search keyword "EpsonNet Config" in the 24/7 Answer Center.

Black Pearl version handles all this automatically.
